Sofwave price in Seoul: what the number should include

Delight Dermatology Clinic in Seoul lists Sofwave at KRW 2,000,000–2,200,000 per session (prices checked 2026-10-18), with the final amount confirmed at consultation. Whichever clinic you choose, compare written quotes that name the device, the areas, the applicator and everything included, not just the total.

How much does Sofwave cost in Seoul?

A single, published range is the most useful anchor: KRW 2,000,000–2,200,000 per session at Delight Dermatology Clinic, confirmed once the areas are agreed.

The same price list puts the other two lifting devices it offers on wider ranges, because they are priced by shot count: Ultherapy Prime at KRW 320,000–2,700,000 per session and Thermage FLX at KRW 1,000,000–2,600,000 per session. A wide range is not a sign of hidden fees; it reflects how much treatment the plan contains.

Why do Sofwave quotes in Seoul differ so much?

Two quotes for “Sofwave” can describe different amounts of treatment. Ask about each of these:

  • Areas. Lower face only, or face, under the chin and neck together. Body areas such as the upper arms are planned separately.
  • Applicator. The FDA 510(k) summary lists Lift and Precise applicators and a Smooth/LiftHD applicator with different energy ranges (FDA 510(k) summary K250146, checked 18 October 2026). Ask which one each area gets.
  • Amount of treatment. If the quote is written as a pulse or line count rather than per session, ask how many pulses each area receives.
  • Number of sessions. The manufacturer says most people need one treatment (Sofwave patient FAQ, checked 18 October 2026), while some trials used two sessions for the face and neck or for body areas[1][2]. A two-session plan should say so.
  • What is bundled. Consultation fee, numbing, aftercare products and the follow-up review can be inside the price or extra.

A clear quote lists each item, not only the total.

Is a much lower price a warning sign?

Not by itself, but it is a reason to ask what is different. Possible explanations are fewer areas, less treatment per area, a package with conditions, or a different device sold under a similar name. Ask for the device name in writing; a quote for “ultrasound lifting” is not a quote for the Sofwave System. Checking Sofwave device information shows how to match the device to the public record.

What does Korean law say about posted prices?

Aesthetic treatments such as Sofwave are paid in full by the patient. Article 45 of the Medical Service Act requires clinics to make the fees for treatments outside national health insurance easy for patients to find, and says they may not charge more than the amount they have posted (Medical Service Act, checked 18 October 2026). Article 42-2 of the Enforcement Rule asks for a price list at the reception desk and, for clinics with a website, a separate listing on the site (Enforcement Rule of the Medical Service Act, checked 18 October 2026). So you can ask to see the price list before you agree to anything.

How do you pay as a visitor?

Quotes in Seoul are in Korean won. Before the day, ask which cards are accepted, whether a deposit is needed to hold the booking, and whether you can receive an itemised receipt in English for your records or insurer. Keep the written quote with the receipt so the two can be compared later.
